What it does
Indie Chains is a link collaboration platform for indie founders who want to earn relevant, editorial backlinks without cold outreach or spammy exchanges. It’s built for builders with real products and real sites—SaaS apps, directories, blogs, newsletters, tools, and resource pages—where placements can be reviewed, justified, and tied to an actual page.
The core workflow is designed around context-first collaboration requests. First, you submit your site for manual review. Each project is checked before it can participate, and participation requires a real operator, a reviewable page, and a reason another founder would want the placement. Domain Rating (Ahrefs DR) is reviewed as a quality signal alongside editorial judgment.
Once approved, you browse other approved builders and send a collaboration request that explains the fit. Requests are meant to be specific to a target page—such as a resource page, review, directory listing, or contextual mention—so the recipient can quickly understand why your product belongs there. When both sides agree, you publish the placement and mark it live, keeping the collaboration tied to a real URL rather than an off-platform promise.
Indie Chains includes request threads and message history for coordinating placements, plus ongoing moderation intended to keep outbound behavior clean and avoid bulk swaps, link farms, and generic lists. Paid access lets you join the software, but sending requests requires at least one approved site so every request originates from a real project.
Pricing options include a monthly subscription ($1/month, cancel anytime) and a one-time lifetime launch price ($29; shown alongside $49), available until 50 approved sites. Indie Chains also offers a free Domain Rating checker. Outcomes like DR increases are not guaranteed and depend on factors outside Indie Chains’ control, including content quality, relevance, and existing link profiles.
For founders who want SEO through legitimate, founder-to-founder collaboration, Indie Chains provides a moderated way to propose, agree on, and publish editorial placements that make sense for both sites.
